The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is an excellent option if you're looking to buy a mid-priced mop and robot vacuum. It provides a fantastic mopping experience, but doesn't have the features that make up its more expensive counterpart.
In the course of testing, it was able to handle dry oats and dust on carpets with medium piles and pet hair on hard floors. But, unlike cheaper models, it doesn't utilize LIDAR to help you map your home.
Roomba s9+ iRobot from iRobot
The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the most highly-rated robots. It is loaded with features and impressive cleaning power, such as an area for dirt that is integrated into the base of charging. This robot can also learn your cleaning habits and suggest schedules that are automatic to provide a hands-free and effortless experience.
The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automated cleaning process at the push of the button. You can select a general clean which focuses on the elimination of larger particles like rice and cereal. Or you can choose two mappings to ensure that your entire home is completely cleaned.
This robot vacuum is effective on floors that are unfinished and carpet with a low pile. It is able to take large objects and doesn't lose suction as rapidly as other models do and can clean up pet hair with ease. It's not able to work with high-pile carpets or plush carpets however, iRobot claims that future models will be more efficient.
The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which concentrates on enhancing edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted D-shaped design, which it hopes will allow it to fit into walls and furniture. It's a great improvement over the hockey puck-like design of most robovacs, though we discovered it to be only incrementally better than circular models.
iRobot claims that the S9+ also has a superior filtration system which blocks micro-sized particles and allergens from circulating in your home. We think it's a nice statement but not enough to justify a premium price.
Its intelligent navigation system makes use of sensors to store the layout of your home and vSLAM to map your interior of your home. This allows it to steer clear of obstacles like stairs and other barriers and to tidy up your entire house efficiently possible. Its two lowest mopping modes that are less abrasive than the higher-powered ones create little noise, allowing you to work or even watch television without interruption. It will gently bump into furniture or walls, and then move on if it comes across one.
What sets the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to operate almost completely autonomously, requiring only a little for user intervention. The robo-vac comes with a multi-function dock that automatically transfers physical garbage into the bin hidden from view and also washes and drys mop pads and replenishes its clean water tank. The app is adept at notifying you when something needs attention, like the clean water tank running low or a scheduled cleaning session that was cancelled due to a full dust bin.
You can also combine or create actual rooms to personalize the way Q Revo treats your home. This feature is helpful when you have different flooring in different areas of your home, or in the event that you have to regularly clear out clutter such as clothes, toys and books. The robo-vac was also one of the top performers in my test cleaning up debris from carpets and hardwood floors on the first attempt. It can even vacuum up wet spills however I would recommend drying them using a clean cloth before bringing the robot in.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd want from a high-end robot vacuum click here and mop and more. It comes with an omni-rotating mop as well as a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It is similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with a self-cleaning station that automatically cleans and empty mop pads to keep them clean and ready to be reused. It also features a new sensor system that can better detects obstacles, giving it the ability to prevent falling over furniture or other objects.
The most significant improvement to the ECOVACS the X1 Deebot is its sleeker, more modern design. This is due to the Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. Although it's still quite large--it's more than two feet in height and depth and weighs in excess of four pounds--the robot and its base are less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.
This model is more efficient than the X1 as it charges faster and can clean 1,500 square feet in a single charge. Additionally, it comes with a larger, more durable dustbin to hold more debris which makes it easier to empty it when needed.
The X2 Omni also has a more intuitive voice assistant and an app that works even when you're not at home. It also comes with an intelligent routing feature that allows it to clean specific areas or rooms of your home instead of following a predetermined path.
The X2 Omni is the most effective robot for mopping. Its mop pads that rotate scrub away tough stains, and its motor creates a lot of downward pressure. Its vacuuming is excellent as well, and it boosts suction when it detects carpets to ensure that it does an excellent job. It also has a large battery that can last for weeks between charges, and its mopping mode is as effective as any we've seen in a consumer-grade robot.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a top-quality model that has a range of features that aren't often found on robots of this price. It can create detailed floor maps and identify different types of flooring. It's also among the few robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. But while these functions are nice to have, they also make the L10s Ultra more in the category of luxury and could mean it's slightly more expensive than the average homeowner require.
Designed to look like a contemporary floor cleaner The L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device that has an elegant white finish that's accented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine features an enormous bumper that shields the furniture and vacuum cleaner when you are moving around your home. Behind the pane at the front is a second navigation technology with sensors that help the L10s Ultra maneuver tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top, you'll find a single button that essentially acts as an on/off switch. The button will activate the vacuum. If you click it again, it will turn it off and transmit it back to its base station. The control panel has the circular menu which lets you select cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons on the screen will open up the app's settings menu where you can tweak how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.
Like the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation techniques to map out your home. This creates a precise floor plan that enables the robot vacuum and mop efficiently without getting stuck in messy areas. The LIDAR helps the robot vacuum avoid obstacles and identify them as obstacles, which is an excellent feature for homes with pets or small children.
The L10s Ultra has a solid vacuuming capability, clearing 98.4 percent of debris from our hard-floor test and taking out all but the most difficult juice stains. Its mops are also quite efficient, clearing 98.4 percent of the debris that was found on our wood, tile and carpet tests. It was not as efficient at removing sand from the hard floor or quaker oatmeal from the carpet.
